Your mission

PROJEKT PRO develops software for project and business controlling in architecture and engineering firms. With Controlling NG, we are building a new cloud solution that intelligently connects project profitability, fees, time tracking and invoicing.

Our engineering team already works AI-native, from product specifications and implementation to quality assurance. Now we are taking the next step: building AI agents that actively support our customers in their daily controlling workflows.
As an AI Native Developer & QA Engineer (m/f/d), you develop these intelligent features, integrate them into our cloud platform and ensure that calculations, data and automated processes remain reliable. You take ownership across the entire development lifecycle, from technical design to quality assurance.

Build AI agents and intelligent controlling features for liquidity forecasting, budget monitoring, fee calculations and automated invoice planning.
Automate manual workflows such as time tracking, invoice creation and the preparation of fee calculations.
Design APIs and MCP interfaces that allow external AI assistants and other Orca products to access controlling data securely.
Structure complex business and financial data covering projects, costs, fees and invoices while ensuring secure processing and strict tenant isolation.
Own the quality of your work through clear specifications, automated testing, end-to-end testing and systematic evaluation of AI-powered features.
Ensure the accuracy of business-critical calculations and compliance with relevant requirements such as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD.
Improve our AI-native engineering practices and share your expertise in AI coding agents, test automation and modern engineering standards.

Your profile

You have at least 4 years of professional software development experience, ideally building production cloud or SaaS applications with a strong focus on test automation.
You have already built and shipped LLM-based agents or AI features used by real customers, including tool calling, retrieval or multi-step workflows.
You have experience modelling complex business data and understand access permissions, data privacy and tenant isolation.
You regularly use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, work spec-first and systematically validate AI-generated output.
You are proficient in automated testing across multiple levels, including tools such as Playwright, and CI/CD workflows on GitHub, with a strong focus on the correctness of business-critical calculations.
You understand modern agent frameworks and protocols such as MCP, A2A or LangGraph and have experience with cloud architectures, monitoring and secure AI applications.
You work independently, take ownership and care deeply about quality. You have C2-level German and C1-level English.

Additionally helpful: Experience with HOAI, office controlling, accounting or ERP software, XRechnung, ZUGFeRD or forecasting.
